This 2 story brick 1981 Italianate was built by J.A. Mitchell, president of Bank of Carthage. By 1903, Mitchel added the front portico built of Carthage marble. The cast iron cresting above the side porch and iron fencing that surrounds the yard are significance and rare, since World War II saw many sacrificed to war material drives. A 2-story brick carriage house is to the rear of the property.
