To promote and support programs, organizations, and initiatives that directly contribute to better health and healthy lifestyles for the citizens of Carthage through financial grants and volunteer activities.
McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation uses a dual front approach:
1. Help organizations and programs to meet immediate needs. 2. Help organize and support large initiatives that have ongoing impact in the community. All those who seek and receive our help should have a direct influence on the health and healthy lifestyle choices of the Carthage Community with an emphasis on healthcare, nutrition, programs that promote physical activity and organizations that encourage sound mental health.
Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons has served as Executive Director of McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation for 16 years. She continues her passionate quest to make healthcare in Carthage a priority for all citizens. Mrs. Simmons serves on numerous local Boards of Directors as well as is active in a variety of community organizations.
Mrs. Shala Rogler served as Assistant Director of McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation for 12 years. She recently retired from her position to spend time with her first grandchild. She is the 2018 recipient of the Carthage Humanitarian Award.
Mrs. Amy Grimes serve as McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation Assistant Director of Development. She previously served as the Carthage R-9 Foundation Director after retiring as a teacher in the Carthage R-9- School System.
